Leslie had been dancing since she was a little girl. Trained in ballet, jazz and acro ballet, she spent her childhood in rehearsals and at dance competitions. As a young woman, she discovered bellydance and soon took the stage as a performer, working as a professional dancer at restaurants, parties and weddings. It wasn't long before she established her own dance company "Sahara Nights Bellydance" with her dance partner, Heidi Cannon and became one of the most sought after bellydance performers in Vancouver.
Leslie joined Samba Fusion in 2014 when after she took just a few classes and the troupe's director recognized her potential, rhythm and grace. She fell in love with the rhythms of Brazil and threw herself into practice and study of Samba. An artist at heart, she soon became one the main choreographers for the group, translating her passion for the dance into stage performances for the entire group.
Leslie's dance style is flirtatious and energetic, and her love of the stage comes through in all her performances. Her joy of dance is contagious and brings life to any party
